At d3, we understand that you care about your business, and we want to help you take it to the next level. One way that we can do that is by helping you fine-tune your semi-permanent displays. In this article, we’ll go over a few strategies for how to use these displays more effectively.
Highlight Your Unique Selling Proposition
One way to use semi-permanent displays more effectively and get better results from them is to highlight your product’s unique selling proposition–which is a fancy way of saying that you should tell your product’s story. The best retail displays showcase the specific qualities that make the product in question appeal to customers.
Choose the Right Size
Another way to make more effective use of semi-permanent displays is to make sure that you are sizing your displays appropriately for your needs. In general, semi-permanent displays come in the following sizes:
- End Caps, which cover the entire end of the aisle’s shelving units;
- Floor Displays, which are small, freestanding units that can be placed in the aisles without impeding customer traffic;
- Side Wings, which are placed at the ends of aisles but to the side;
- and Counter Displays, which are small enough to be placed on the sales counter or by the cash registers to encourage impulse purchases.
Increase Ease of Access
A third way to make your semi-permanent displays more effective is to make them easier for your customers to buy from–displays with tight shelves make it hard for customers to remove items from them, which makes them less likely to buy.
